I dunno. Everyone in my dorm was plenty awake at 10:30. I say go for 5am where you either catch people in the middle of sleep or the people pulling all nighters are in that loopy lack of sleep phase.

Lol reminds me of my freshman year when I stayed in the dorms. I’m a super-deep sleeper so I had a 115db alarm clock to wake me up (for reference a metal concert is around 110db) and everyone on my floor hated me. Or they would’ve, had I not pretended like I too was pissed off at the random asshole with the crazy loud alarm clock. I made it the full year without anyone knowing it was me lol.

Someone down the hall from me played that on his big ass speakers. Everyone on the hall thought it was the campus emergency siren.

My university does campus siren tests on wednesdays at noon and I’m always in class. So I only hear them rattling through the air vents (room with no windows). We have some old units scattered around campus. All university computers also flash an emergency message on the screen.

I believe they’re tested every first Wednesday of the month round here. Midwest here needs its tornado’ sirens.

I don’t think we have one. We have an emergency alert system that texts everyone thought and users an actual air raid siren. I think it’s a federal crime to activate it as a prank.
